How do I clean my TrueDark lenses?Updated 2 months ago
TrueDark lenses are made from RX grade polycarbonate, so most cleaners designed for prescription glasses work perfectly. Here’s how to keep them looking their best:
Everyday Cleaning:
Use a standard spray on lens cleaner (available from opticians or some supermarkets)
Wipe gently with a microfiber cloth
Premoistened, lint free lens wipes are a convenient alternative
Deep Cleaning:
Wash your hands thoroughly to remove oils
Rinse lenses under lukewarm tap water (avoid hot water, which can damage coatings)
Apply a small drop of lotion free dish soap to each side of the lenses
Gently rub lenses and frames with your fingertips for a few seconds
Rinse thoroughly and shake off excess water
Dry with a lint free dish towel, then polish any remaining smudges with a microfiber cloth
Important: Avoid household glass cleaners (like window sprays), as they can damage polycarbonate lenses.
With proper care, your TrueDark lenses will stay clear, comfortable, and protective for years.
