Which TrueDark glasses should I choose?Updated 2 months ago
The best place to start is with your main goal. Are you looking for all day support while working on a computer, or are you focused on winding down in the evening and improving your sleep? Each TrueDark lens is designed for a specific time of day.
TrueDark Daylights (Yellow lenses)
Best for: Daytime, work, screens, and indoor lighting
Our yellow lenses block 75% of blue light, which is the optimal amount for daytime use. Your body still needs some blue light during the day to stay awake, focused, and support natural biological processes. So, blocking more than that can actually work against you.
While yellow lenses may take a little getting used to visually, they’re one of the most effective ways to reduce disruptive junk light without sacrificing energy or focus. They’re ideal for daytime screen use, work, and indoor environments.
TrueDark Sunsets (Red & Orange lenses)
Best for: Evening use, from sunset up to about 30 minutes before bedtime
Sunsets are designed to help you ease into nighttime mode while still staying functional. These lenses block 99% of blue and violet light and filter 73–93% of green light, making them ideal for winding down.
The red tinted top blocks up to 99% of junk light from overhead sources, while the lighter orange bottom keeps your vision clear so you can move comfortably through evening activities, including screen time after dark.
TrueDark Twilights (Red lenses)
Best for: Late evening and nighttime use
Twilights are designed to be worn 30 minutes to 2 hours before bed. They block all wavelengths of light that interfere with your circadian rhythm.
Thanks to their multilayer filtering technology, Twilights signal to your brain that it’s dark outside even though you can still see clearly. This helps trigger natural hormone production that supports relaxation and better sleep. Because your eyes are especially sensitive to light at night, Twilights can make a meaningful difference even if you’re watching TV, using your phone, or doing normal evening activities.
The best results? Use them together.
When you combine Daylights and Twilights, you create a 24 hour light management system that helps reduce excess junk light, support your circadian rhythm, and improve both daytime performance and nighttime sleep.
If you’re unsure which option fits your lifestyle best, we’re always happy to help you decide.
