Why 75% and not 100% blue light blocking during the day?Updated 2 months ago
Blocking 100% of blue light during the day is counterproductive. Your brain requires some blue light wavelengths during daylight hours to maintain alertness, energy, mood, and circadian entrainment. The Daylights Amber lenses are calibrated to filter the disruptive portion of the spectrum (the ‘junk light’) while still allowing beneficial blue-green wavelengths through. This is the key distinction between TrueDark’s daytime lens technology and the heavier blocking of Twilight lenses, which are designed for evening use.
